Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of our website and the services we provide. We have written them plainly so they are easy to read.
Last updated: 1 May 2025
1. About These Terms
These Terms and Conditions apply to your use of the Teguh website at teguha.world and to any services you engage us to provide. By accessing the website or instructing us to act on your behalf, you agree to these terms.
Teguh operates as a legal services firm registered in Malaysia. Our office is located at Suite 8-3, Wisma UOA II, Jalan Pinang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur. If you have questions about these terms, please contact us before proceeding.
2. Use of This Website
You may use this website to learn about our services, read published information, and contact us with enquiries. You agree not to use the website in a way that:
- Violates any applicable Malaysian law or regulation.
- Harms or interferes with the website's operation or security.
- Misrepresents your identity or affiliation.
- Attempts to access data or systems you are not authorised to access.
The information on this website is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. No client relationship is formed by visiting the website or submitting an enquiry form.
3. Our Services
Teguh provides the following pension protection legal services, each described on the Solutions page of this website:
- Retirement Entitlement Health Check — RM 600
- Pension Decision Appeal Support — RM 1,240
- Family Pension Continuity Service — RM 1,900
The scope of each service is as set out in the service description provided to you at the time of engagement. Where services differ from what is described on the website — for example, due to the particular complexity of your matter — we will discuss this with you before proceeding.
4. Engagement and Instructions
A formal service engagement begins when you and Teguh have agreed in writing on the scope of work and fee. Submitting an enquiry through our website is not an engagement; it is an expression of interest that we will respond to.
We will explain clearly what each service involves before you commit. You are under no pressure to proceed, and you may withdraw at any stage up to the point when substantial work has been carried out on your matter.
5. Fees and Payment
Fees for each service are as stated on the Solutions page and in your engagement letter. Prices are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.
Payment terms will be set out in your engagement letter. We typically require a deposit before substantive work commences, with the balance due upon completion. If a matter is more complex than anticipated, we will discuss any adjustments with you before proceeding with additional work.
Refund arrangements, if applicable, will be detailed in your engagement letter and handled in accordance with Malaysian consumer protection law.
6. Confidentiality
We treat all information you share with us as confidential. We will not disclose your personal or matter-related information to any third party without your consent, except where required by law or regulation, or where necessary to deliver the service (for example, corresponding with the relevant pension authority on your behalf).
Our confidentiality obligations are consistent with applicable Malaysian legal professional standards.
7. Intellectual Property
The content on this website — including text, layout, and design — is the property of Teguh and is protected by applicable copyright law. You may read and print content for personal reference, but may not reproduce or distribute it for commercial purposes without our written consent.
Documents and reports we prepare for you as part of a service engagement are provided for your personal use in connection with that matter. They should not be relied upon in other contexts without our written confirmation.
8. Limitation of Liability
We take care to provide accurate, thorough, and professionally appropriate advice and documentation. However, outcomes in pension matters depend on a range of factors — including decisions made by third-party bodies such as EPF (KWSP) or relevant government departments — that are beyond our control.
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, Teguh's liability in connection with any service engagement is limited to the fee paid for that service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or loss-of-opportunity claims arising from decisions made by third parties.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, personal injury, or any matter that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Third-Party Links and References
Our website may reference or link to external websites — for example, official EPF or government pension pages. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or availability. Links are provided for your convenience only.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available at this address. Continued use of the website after a change constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
For active service engagements, the terms in your signed engagement letter take precedence over any subsequent website updates.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising in connection with these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
